Love birds practicing for Valentines Day. I couldn't figure out what the sculptures of the musicians were made of but they were covered with vines and so they looked like carved bushes. They were really impressive.

Wedding photos in the park and a two bonzai's.

In Century Park, spring is already on the way, even with the red lanterns still up from Chinese New Year.

When I get my hair cut, no matter what country, people really like to fluff it up. This was maybe the fluffiest I've ever been. The guy was blow drying and brushing (both big no no's with curly hair) and was trying really hard not to laugh. After he was done he offered to straighten it and I readily agreed, partly because I wanted to get back to the hotel without being embarrassed and also because straight hair sounded so fun. The picture is me half done. And the other is me and baby all done.

We have some much cooler fish pictures but they are all videos and we can't figure out how to make our new camera download videos on this computer, so we can only put crabs and this freaky big fish on the blog.

John is practicing holding our new baby in it's going home snow suit but needs to work on not squeezing its head so much.

My "waiting" hotel is right downtown by the bund and the pearl tower. We walked around today and went to the aquarium. There were some big beautiful fish, seals, penguins, sharks, stink rays and sea turtles.

We met up with some of our friends that were in Shanghai for the weekend and went to an Italian restaurant. It is also famous for it's chocolate desserts. I had chocolate mousse and John had cookies, best in China!!

Staff vs Student Basketball Game

We had a staff vrs student bball game at school. My class had a hard time packing up to get there in time so we missed most of it, I was only able to see a little of Johns glory, but heard about it later from another teacher when they came by to tell me about the game. The staff won 31 to 23. My Johnny scored 18 of the 31 points all by himself. He also had 15 rebounds. What a basketball star!!
