Anna and Nats visit to Iowa

Sadie's first backpacking trip

Sadie hiked all the way up to our campsite (with the aid of some Smarties) and explored everything. She collected snails and rocks and smelled the flowers.

Our campsite had it all. There was a nice mellow stream to play and wash in , little rock stairs leading to our tent site, a big fire pit, a grassy meadow and a great view. We cooked two batches of pasta primavera because Sadie becomes ravenous in the mountains. In the morning the stove wouldn't work, but we got the fire going and make breakfast. Afterwards Sadie took advantage of a sunny patch to do some yoga. Sadie loves being outside and camping. She kept yelling "Isn't this great guys!!" She got totally dirty, ate whatever we offered her, pooped in the woods, splashed in the river and rolled in the meadow grass.

Spring Months in Almaty

Sadie's best Zheily buddies; Lena, Joaquin and Phillip. We've had so many wonderful playground days, we're so lucky to live so close.

 Henna Booth on International Day.
This is the movie set along the Ili river. There was a little camp set up where the guard of the set lived with his wife. He followed us around making sure we didn't get too close.

There are pie cherry trees next to the language building at our school. We climbed up into the trees and picked enough for a crisp.

 Dinner with Brandon and Michelle.

 Our Ultimate Frisbee crew.

 Tony and Nikita

Last Day of School movie party. Sadie just finished the 3 yo class!
