Last leg of the summer...Fayetteville!

Sadie and Ari had a couple of sleepovers at Grandmas and Grandpas house. The routine is macaroni and cheese, jumping on the bed, art projects and movies.

Sadie was so nervous to go to the dentist after a slightly traumatic experience last year. She fretted about it for weeks. We decided not to go back to the dentist in Iowa and made an appointment in Fayetteville at Ari's dentist. Ari reassured Sadie that it would be fine and that the dentist was nice, but she was still pretty unsure about the whole thing. Driving home the day before the appointment, Sadie asked me if Ari could go with her and hold her hand. I called Ben to set it up and Ari called back that night to confirm that he would go with her, and hold her hand. I think these might be the cutest pictures of the entire summer.

Sadie and I went to Eureka Springs with Mom and Dad for the weekend. We stayed at a cabin in the woods with a pool, which was lovely. That night we ate the most expensive and worst Indian food any of us have ever had, and then got sick. The next day we went to a little safari zoo. There was a petting zoo and then a drive-through exhibit with deer and bison and emu.

A few more Taos pics

Taos has a brief moment of glorious light every night for about 3 minutes. These pictures don't really capture it, but you can get the idea.

Sadie was a great helper. We built a box for our pump this summer.
