Taos

It was so nice to get to Taos. It feels like our own little spot in the world, the one place that really belongs to us. John set up the new pool for Sadie. We took a little walk and found the guardian angel that watches over the land. She stays hidden on a hill under a tree all year, and every year we find her to say hi.

 

We painted this year! It was a fun project and really brightened up the inside. I hung curtains and rearranged. There is not much that can be done in such a small space, but it felt good to try.

I love New Mexico. It will always be home to me, no matter where I travel or where I live. Going to New Mexico always feels like going home. I hope that someday Sadie has a place in the world that feels like that.
