Italy Trip- Dec 27

We traveled from Florance to the Cinque Terre today. When we got to Monterrosso we found out that the hotel we had booked for Mom, Dad and Sadie was not in Monterrosso, but a 50 Euro cab ride away. We walked around town for 30 minutes looking for other hotels but everything was closed, including the tourist office. Things were looking pretty bad.
Then the tourist office opened and the lady there was able to find us an apartment to rent for less then the cost of the booked hotel. It was right in the old village, had a couple of bedrooms and a kitchen.
We got Sadie and the grandparents all settled in and left, not to see Sadie again for three days. Nina and I took the train to Riomaggiore. We quickly found JP and Emily, and enjoyed the sunset, wine and food the rest of the evening.
